Monitor and assess the health status, risk, resources and vulnerability of various populations and subgroups to improve health outcomes. Provide oversight and evaluation of public health programs; develop and implement prevention and intervention strategies; and provide training, consultation and clinical direction for local health department personnel, health care providers and other stakeholders. Must be a current Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Public Health Program Nurse, G24 or NYS employee with 1+ year of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service in a position G22 or higher and eligible for transfer under Section 70.4 of the Civil Service Law.
